Growing up in a family with 14 siblings in a cult in Rural Kansas, the Gideon family goal was to spread the word of their doomsday cult and to bring the blind to sight. They were extremely and devoutly religious. Like many of his other siblings, Jessie was tasked with missionary work in unreached places. That landed him in Chernarus. By spending over a year in the countryside preaching to villages, (most of whom cast him out) Jessie learned the terrain and became fairly familiar with the language. Where he met resistance to his message, he made sure to give warning of the wrath of God. To the common man, his sanity was at times questionable, often doing odd or weird rituals in the name of worship. The Gideons were essentially minimalists. They often wore simple clothing and turned away from consumerism. They had very little possessions. They claimed that by letting go, one can gain a spiritual oneness with the world and God himself. They looked up to the birds as an example. They neither plow nor toil yet God provides their sustenance. The Gideons hold an appreciation for the birds, decorating their bodies with piercings and stick poke tattoos. Jessie wears a crow mask himself. As a young boy, he made a blood vow to uphold the Word of the Gideon's with his life, and he aimed to write and disperse copies of the book to the people he met. When the world went crazy and people started turning, Jessie smiled. The end he had prepared for and warned about had come, and now, it was about what was after. Convinced by the idea that God's existence was proven by the virus, he now saw himself as a prophet and insisted people call him The Crow. Jessie believes his life has new purpose. He must redeem those whom God has shown mercy by bringing them the words of life found in the book of Gideon. If they resist, he might not be very afraid to use force...
