Born in Kirovograd to a Chernarussian Defence Forces Officer in 1995, the oldest of three brothers. Jozef's early life was uneventful. He did decent in school, and under pressure from his Father, he joined the Defence Forces after turning 18, training as a Rifleman in a Mechanized Infantry unit, and promptly sent to Takistan for peacekeeping duties. After nearly a year in-country, he was badly injured by a Mortar round in an insurgent ambush, and was hospitalized at the Miroslavl Military Hospital.
Jozef was diagnosed with minor PTSD during his time at the hospital, but was cleared for release after 13 months. His two-year enlistment was nearly complete, and although he was a staunch Chernarussian Nationalist, his experiences in Takistan largely disenfranchised his view of the Military, and he opted not to re-enlist. Jozef's largely negative experience with the Military was a point of contention between him and his father, who was a Career Soldier, and when Jozef advised his younger brother against serving, his father excommunicated him from the Family.
Jozef bounced from job to job for several years, eventually moving to South Zagoria in 2017 to work as a security guard at a factory in Elektrozavodsk.
