Dispatched by United Nations, Captain Mark Manner and FaithFul Troop were sent into Chernarus to help escort and the remaining Civilian Population on a Confidential Misson. They were to escort the civilians and provide any aid necessary but also to eliminate all those that could be carrying the disease and prove a threat to the populations' safety. While escorting the civilians to a landing zone in the northeast airfield a horde of infected came rushing down from the north and ambushed the Soldiers and Civilian population. Drawn in from the shots more infected began to flood in from the east and the west taking out Marks Troop, leaving Mark to escort as many people as he could down to the south. Where he encountered a Chernorussin Defense Group that opposed the U.N, Mark attempting to calm any hostile actions prompted the soldiers to open fire on the civilians believing they betrayed their home country. Witnessing this Mark somehow took down all 5 of the soldiers with quick thinking and fast reflexes ending all their lives in moments. Alone and lost Mark attempted to establish contact with the evacuation team only to find out they left with no notice or care for whoever was left on Cherno. This traumatic moment scarred Mark leaving him with an imprint of what needs to be done.
