He soon left the army and was honorably discharged in 2014. After the trauma he endured in the army he felt the need to leave the confines of society, and go back to his roots. he set up a trapping post in northern Alberta, One day at the grocery store Mark had met a woman named Julliet, soon Mark proposed to Julliet and they decided to go to Chenarus for a vacation and that's when the outbreak started. Sadly Julliet was killed in the first days of the outbreak, Mark has never been the same since.
