Lee McCarren was born to Irish Immigrant parents, the first of his family to be called American. From an early age he was bullied ruthlessly, the other children mocked and beat him, just because of his accent. He didn't have many friends during his childhood years, most of his free time he spent by himself wandering the small town and the farm fields near by. Years passed and whilst Lee did get older, not much changed. He was still an outsider. On his 18th birthday he bought a bus ticket, a one way trip. He would never return to his home town.
Drifting from one job to another, Lee eventually enlisted in the Armed Forces. Wanting to see the world but not having the money to do, it seemed like the best option. A couple years down the line Lee was in his 20's when he was given the Opportunity to serve as a UN Peacekeeper in the military division. 7 months into his time as a Peacekeeper he had done nothing of note, until 17th of July 2017 when he was deployed with 200 other Peacekeepers to the province of Miroslavl. 6 days into his deployment he abandoned his post. Lee only saw death, so he ran.
He isolated himself from the world, traveling way out west into wilderness, making a home for himself in a small abandoned farm. For over a year he did not see a single living person. Until a group of survivors stumbled upon his hideout. Lee let them stay. He had a community and for a time he was happy. He even fell in love. Despite everything that had happened, his upbringing, the world in chaos, he finally felt accepted.
On May 3rd 2019, whilst Lee was out searching for supplies, a group of bandits found there way to the farm. He returned to find it on fire, and his friends mutilated and murdered. His girlfriend gone, presumed dead, Lee wandered back east. Trying to right the wrongs of his past, help the people he left to die nearly two years ago and kill those who destroyed his new life. A broken soldier returns to his post.
