My character is the son of Russian immigrants who came to America, to where he was born in. Due to him being Russian, he was bullied in school where he got into a lot of playground fights. While his parents were religious and despised the idea of fighting, his dad still taught him how to fight in case it ever became truly necessary. Mostly, it was just basic stuff, until his father had a sudden tinge of nostalgia back when he was a soldier when mandatory service was still a thing in Russia.
He bought a Mosin and they both went to shoot together to which he began to playfully drill my character to its maintenance. Every weekend they would go to shoot and every time they came home, they would clean their guns. The idea that this was used to teach him how to fight was forgotten and simply turned into a hobby.
During this, his father tried to also instill in him a sense of patriotism for their host country and how he preferred it more than life back home in Russia, but still missing it. To further instill this within himself, my character went on to join the Army where he was stationed in a couple of countries but didn't see any real combat.
However, when his next assignment took him to Chernarus, strange things began to occur...
Outlandish stories of horrific attacks. People mauling one another and even gruesome was reports of supposed cannibalism.
Before long, there were reports of illnesses and quarantines were set up. Those infected eventually became unresponsive and feral.
Eventually, everything collapsed and Dennis was stuck in an unknown land where he only knew enough of the language to get by.
(So yeah, apparently the mods decided to set the precedent that it's okay to just keep killing people even if it makes no RP sense. Shooting people who have surrendered too. If that is the case, I will just go back to PvPs servers as this RP server has no actual RP in it.)
