Rick Glass is an average man who just finished college with a bachelors in business. In order to get his life started, he's in the process of finding a new location to move to for better job opportunities. However, before going to college Rick spent time in the military in order to help pay for college and help him become a man. As a result, Rick is well-mannered and can take care of himself in a very well organized manner. Although Rick was in the military he was never enjoyed combat and he still doesn't. Rick often puts others in front of his own needs, this can become an issue for him as the new world he's living in now isn't as forgiving.
In his new city, Rick got into a car accident that required him to be transported to a hospital. Due to the recent virus outbreaks, Rick was supposed to be transported to another state alongside other patients. The streets were filled with chaos, civilian cars recklessly swerved left to right trying to get out of the state. As a result, this caused the military truck Rick was in to crash. A helicopter had to come in and take the hospital patients to Chernarus. This was the only location close enough that could house the patients Rick were with. There were simply too many patients in other nearby hospitals due to the virus spreading globally.
Rick is naturally soft-spoken with a deep soothing voice. He loves confrontations but avoids them whenever he can because he knows nothing good will come from them. This character enjoys meeting new people but prefers to lurk in the shadows. Being in a bigger group of people is ideal for RIck due to how he can stand in the background without anyone noticing. Rick will also often leave these groups and communities to find new people or come back at a later date. He doesn't stay in alliances, he may join one for a period of time if he feels the need to. Rick's morals aren't the best either, he will steal from those he believes can take the "hit". He steals from those he doesn't respect or don't have any redeeming qualities.
In the end, Rick just wants a community that he can go back to in order to feel a sense of belonging. However, Rick will never feel at home again and he will mourn by himself while he stares at the group of people in front of him enjoying themselves. Tragically, Rick will never find a home, Rick will always be on the run: alone.
