Anthony was a Private Military Contractor that had operated under Blackwater Worldwide, he mainly provided security for VIPs and corporations around the world. Eventually, he was sent to Chernarus to provide security for a VIP. The VIP was a businessman that was on his way to Elektrozavodsk to make a huge deal. During their trip to Elektrozavodsk, they had begun to notice the streets were rather empty even for a country like Chernarus. The VIP persisted that they move on against the wishes of Anthony and everyone else assigned to him. They had made it to the meeting point for the deal and the VIP's business partner had seemed to be a no show. They waited for a while and eventually the business partner had arrived, except he was different. He was covered in blood and seemed rabid. Anthony and the other security operated under the standard procedure and told him to stay back, but he didn't seem to listen and instead lunged at one of the guards ripping a chunk of flesh from his shoulder, tearing into the guard's trapezius muscle. Anthony began to open fire on the "thing" peppering it with 9mm as it attacked his colleague, but by the time the business partner fell, his friend was long dead. As soon as the thing stopped moving, and his friend was dead, he began to escort the VIP out of there ASAP. Before they could make it to the car they found themselves overwhelmed by a large number of people, all rabid and sickly like the business partner. With only two of the three guards still alive they found themselves to able to hold off the undead. They tried to run for it and only fired when necessary. During the fleeing, the other guard had gotten cut off from the rest and was lost to the undead. Anthony and the VIP couldn't see him, only hear the screams of him being mauled. By the time the duo made it to the car, it was gone. With their car being most likely taken by survivors trying to escape the mess that was Elektro, they were forced to hoof it out of the city on foot. Before they could make it to the outer city limits they were overrun again, this time with Anthony being the only guard left. They were in no condition to hold off the horde and instead had to find some way to get away from it. Anthony took to running, being able to do so fairly well as he was wearing normal running shoes, but the VIP wasn't so lucky. The VIP began to lag behind, not being as fit and donning a pair of dress shoes. Anthony tried to assist the VIP, taking pot shots at the undead, but he soon ran out of ammo. He ditched his handgun and continued sprinting, leaving the VIP behind. He ran into the nearby forests and took to building a makeshift shelter, his main goal now to survive.
