Nolan McManfield is a 28 year-old international journalist who has been covering humanitarian issues throughout Eastern Europe and the Middle East. McManfield was sent to Chernarus to cover the Russian bombardment and hostile acts against Chernarus as well as the strange disappearances and stories told by Chernarussian civilians. By the time McManfield, or anyone knew what was going on it was too late. McManfield was stranded on Chernarus among the infected and other survivors with one goal: To document the infection and survive long enough to tell the tale.
Unfortunately McManfield was sent on such short notice to Chernarus that he didn't have time to complete the pre-trip research he normally performs. As such he knows very little about the area besides the little travels he had prior to the largescale outbreak. McManfield isn't without hope, however, he has vast knowledge of survival techniques including foraging, fire making, and some experience with primitive crafting. Additionally, McManfield has been described as a generally charming and well-tempered man, he had to be in his profession. He's not one to pick a fight and prefers to work with others to better his own situation.
