I used to work as a civilian cyber security and communications specialist, one of three others, for a platoon of US Marines stationed in Gibraltar. In the early weeks of the fighting and outbreak, our whole company was sent to Batumi, Georgia to support the locals recovering from violent infighting but we never made it. Our convoy was redirected while crossing through Turkey to Istanbul Samandira Army Air Base. We were ordered to board a direct military flight into Chernarus to stave off the waves of unrest mounting there. Our plane managed to make it into the air but, for some unknown reason, before it could reach its destination, it dipped into the Green Sea and only a dozen or so of us managed to make it to shore. Without our gear, we were overrun by hostiles and forced to scatter. Now, lost and alone, I'm attempting to find out what happened, what I have to do to live, and locate my missing squad.
