Thomas Moore was the son of a horse rancher in Wyoming. He grew up in the shadow of the Tetons just an hour south of Jackson Hole. His dad taught him hunting, fishing, camping and all the sort of things that a country boy be would expect to learn. And while good at all of these, he always felt stifled by small-town life. His father, being a simple man, could not understand Thomas’ unsatisfaction with country life and this lead to many arguments between the two. After one rather vicious argument, Thomas left home in a rage and set out on his own to see the world. For years, Thomas traveled the states seeing all that he could. He eventually found a job with an oil company in Texas and quickly made a name for himself there. His good nature attitude and sense of eternal optimism drew many to him and he soon became good friends with the company owner. The owner started to tell him of expansion ideas for the company in Russia, and the opportunity presented itself for Thomas and the owner to travel to Chernarus and seek potential investments in a coal company there. However, while they were there something happened at a base in the area and all hell broke out. Deciding it was time to get the hell out of Dodge Thomas the company owner headed to the airport, but on there way there were attacked. Their driver did his best to avoid everything but was eventually shot. Already heading at high speeds the car quickly went off the road and after bouncing off a guard rail ended up rolling down a hill. During the accident, Thomas was thrown from the vehicle. Wounded and hurt Thomas awoke to the sounds of gunfire as he was being dragged by a farmer and his wife back to their home. Once there they bound his injuries and feed him what they could. Thomas faded in and out of consciousness until at last, he awoke, only to find himself alone. He wandered the farmers home for a while hoping that they would return so that he could thank them but after a day had passed and there was no sign of them he gathered up what supplies he could find and set out to try to make it back home.
