"I never asked for any of this, but I'll be damned before it's the end of me."
A simple man born and raised from Ireland. Doesn't speak out too much but will hold a conversation if needed, he's got a slightly less than average build making him more inclined to settle disputes with words rather than strength. His introverted tendencies roots from the politics and conflict that arose from the troubles of his homeland. Said conflict had killed his father removing any sort of father figure from his life forcing him to figure out growing up on his own, his mother and grandmother were swallowed in anger against the men who took their significant others lives slowly spreading it to Jack as a result. After spending his childhood surrounded in nothing but hate, it distanced him from his family and he grew apathetic towards everything regarding it. To him the whole ordeal was tiring and Jack had spent enough time squandering.
"Aye I use to be a Bartender, had some of my happiest memories there. It was a good life until my mother died. We were never close but I still loved her, she was family. My anger soiled the life I had setup so I had to get out. That's when James O'Kennly came along and gave me a new life as a fisherman. I took it determined to start again. I let my emotions get ahead and I screwed myself because of it so this was my second chance.
I then spent 5 years working in Antrim before we had to leave Ireland, the crew was informed about the infection and it wouldn't be long before it reached us. So we set out to seek refuge in other countries. She wasn't an easy trip I'll tell you that, moral was low for the longest time and one of our crew mates went fucking mental causing James to throw him off the boat. His name was Sam, never liked him too much anyway, way too religious. Don't get me wrong like, it's shit that he was gone but we had to survive and there's nothing that could be done about it now. After a while with supplies running low and no country taking us in, people were starting to lose hope. I kept my head by focusing on the objective, it was all I could do but it helped. Finally we caught a break. On the Straits of Gibraltar cargo boat let us on with the condition that we worked, easy enough.
Turns out the cargo boat was having similar luck to us, we went through the Mediterranean checking each country. Italy, Croatia, Albania, Greece, Turkey, nobody was taking us in. This led our search to the black sea and that's when the storm hit. I don't remember too much about it honestly, only that I was knocked out from the ordeal. I woke up on the ship with nobody around, the ship had beached and there was a lot of bodies on the shore. I think everyone died and I was lucky enough to make it out alive, but I have no idea where I currently or where anybody is, if they are alive. So that's what I'm focusing on now, finding survivors and grouping up with them, it's my best chance."
