Owen 'Red' Redfield was a single child and his mother passed away at young age meaning he was left to grow up with his dad in his childhood he attended school and did well in his classes in his younger years, he took part in an archery club and was quite proficient at the skill. During his early school years, he joined the scouts, teaching him how to make fire, tie knots, make a camp, set up tents and more. This led to him taking a trip with his scout group to use his learning from the Scout leaders to set up the tent with his group and sleep over night using it. Additionally, at this trip there was multiple different activities you could partake in and Owen chose to do the Air Rifle activity. At 11 years old he was taught how to shoot a little spring powered 'airgun' shooting pellets. Fast forward a few years Owen was actively taking part in his scout group and ventured on into joining the explorers, (scouts for older aged teenagers) where he travelled further out into the world to test his skills in new environments and places. After this Owen took a break from activity groups like these and bought himself a little 125cc Motorcycle due to the United Kingdom laws on it, but he loved it and became addicted and loved riding motorcycles. Owen eventually quit his explorer group and started joining his father in his hunting adventures across the world which led to him ending up in Chernarus. There was a popular hunting competition being hosted at the time that was west of Krasnostav in the Forrest area. The competition was to hunt down and kill some wolves and hopefully the alpha wolf of the pack. Owen and his father decided to go out together to try and win the competition from themselves, but they had never been in this country before, so the terrain and environment was something new to get used too. Around 8 hours into the hunting adventure the trails went cold and Owen and his father started to lose faith in finding the wolf. So, the pair decide to call it a night and head back to the camp to regroup with the other hunters. Eventually on the way back they start to hear multiple gun shots and being in unknown territory they try to hurry back to the only people they know. As they arrive they see bodies, blood, slow 'people' walking a moaning. People running, screaming and crying. Owen raises his rifle in his own defence as his father slowly paces over to someone on the floor not moving, nearing closer Owen slowly follows behind him looking around in disbelief as the gunshots get quieter and quieter with less of them. Owen's father goes over and see's a teenage boy with gunshot wounds in his chest and stomach along with what looks like bite marks and scratch marks. Which Owen's father believed obviously to be by a wolf but utterly confused on why he had been shot as his eyes start to move and mouth drops. Owen's father shocked, staggers back and falls over not making a sound as the person he believed to be dead grabs onto his arm scratching into it and then biting into the leg right above the ankle. Thinking nothing of it confused, in pain Owen saw this and shot the person harming his father twice, one in the head and one in the arm in utter panic. He helped his dad up and they were terrified. They made a plan to head back to where they arrived, the airfield east of the hunting competition, using the compass and their skills from their childhood and livelihood they start making their way to the airstrip in hopes of a way home, away from this mess they just experienced. Just over half way there Owen noticed his father limping more and more and his wound getting a lot worse as well as him becoming very pale. Owen kept asking his father to sit down and rest, but he refused, desperately trying to get him and his son to safety and go back home. Eventually his father couldn't take it anymore 10 minutes away from the airfield give or take, still surrounded by forest his dad fell to the floor breathing heavy. He knew what was coming but couldn’t explain it to him or his son. He took of his gun and put it round his sons’ shoulder, looking at him and telling him to keep heading east and find safety at the airfield and go home. Owen refused saying he can't leave him trying not to cry, as his Father started taking off his backpack and placing his compass in his sons’ hand and holding it tight in between and saying he loves him and to keep safe. He closed his eyes and lent back onto the tree Owen speechless, frantically tapping his father’s arm begging him to look at him or talk to him with fail, his father died as his hand fell to the ground and a tear rolled down Owen's eye. Taking his father’s gun and his compass. He did what his father last told him too, go east to the airfield and find safety and that's exactly what he did. Running to the airfield, he looks back and see's someone walking or so he thought that was wearing similar clothing, he thought his mind was playing tricks on him and he was imagining things, but little did he know he just became stuck in a country surrounded by evil and is left to himself to survive and use what he has learnt throughout his life to keep on going and that is what he wants to accomplish and even find a new group of people to find a new family or just to help him and others around him.
