Background

Stuck doing dead end journalism jobs in London, writing about festivals, or the new london buses that are commonly around the city now. He wanted to write about something exciting, something no one has ever done. At 3am he saw something on the news channel. A country he's never heard of Chernarus is having some sort of upheaval with no specific information more like speculation being said by the anchorman. After some thorough research about the country he found on a dark web forum that the country is having some sort of epidemic and all information about is being kept hidden. No reporters or journalists have been able to enter the country

He asked the people on the forum "how can i enter the country", they replied "sneak in through Russia". There is a village near the boarder who specialises in smuggling people into the country. Even though if he gets caught he'll get killed, it didn't stop him going. His whole life has been miserable. Living in a lonely flat on the top floor, no friends or family. This is his only time he's been able to do something exciting. And when he comes back with this information, everyone will know about him.

He booked a flight to Russia, and made it to this russian village. He talked to the elder who asked for $1000 to sneak him in. He didn't hesitate. There was a trail that slices through the blockade. it goes through a very dense forest. The reason there is no soldiers guarding it is because of superstition that if you linger too long there at night, the forest will eat you. Obviously its just a myth but every soldier didn't want to test their luck.

He's made it through and found himself in a whole new world, the guide he was with gave him a map of the country and said "don't trust anyone, not even the dead". he didn't know what that meant but his mission is clear now. To find out what is going on this place.
