I grew up playing Ice Hockey in Southern California in the United States. After graduating college I was in the NHL on the Toronto Maple Leafs. After 4 months on on the 4th line I was confronted by some recruiters saying they wanted me for the new CHLA: Cheranus Hockey League Association. I decided well why not see how it is over there. Even though there was rebuilding going on I felt this was a chance to make it big. My family and I decided this would be the perfect time to go on vacation and took a plane to Chernarus. Once getting there everything was fine for a couple days and then news of the outbreaks happened not understanding what they were really saying only seeing people panicked and pictures of the infected attacking. Then on the night of July 12th My family and I were going to take one of the last planes out of the country. As we were traveling with the other passengers to the plane. A horde broke through and started swarming the air field in a panic my family got split up. my mom and I were running away from the zombies while my dad and sister ran for the plane. I saw my dad and sisters get on the plane. I turned back to my mom and we ran for the nearest building which was the air control tower. We got in and as we got up to the windows we saw the plane lifting off. My mom and I were praying that they would stay safe. As the plane grew smaller in the sky the door to the tower was broken open and zombies started pouring in. We fought them off with chairs and whatever else we could find but we were getting overwhelmed. Our only out was the window. (tower was about 2-3 stories tall) My mother broke the window as I was fighting the zombies. I was ready to accept my fate and jump with my mom when she pulled me out the window and held me above her. As we were falling she said quickly said that she loved me and to stay safe. Seconds later we impacted the ground my body on top of hers. I blacked out for a couple of seconds and once I got up I was disoriented and confused. I saw my moms body mangled from the fall and I was in shock. I quickly turned and ran far away as soon as my head stopped spinning and the pounding in my ears lowered. ( took like 10-15 seconds to recover after getting up) As I was running tears poured down my face. I ran for the nearest building and hid. Present: I don't know what day it is anymore and I have not seen anyone, But I know people are alive I see things pop up where they were not before. Remains of put together structures that looked out of place. Every structure I saw gave me hope. My goal is to find a way out of this land to find out if my dad and younger sisters survived. I would do almost anything to achieve this goal but my mother still pops up in my head and reminds that even though times are tough that to never lose myself and become the monster she would not want me to be.
