Mel was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 23, 1989. He had a normal life growing up. Had plenty of friends who he played with and did wel in school.

In 2007 he attended Boston College to study Engineering. 6 months after graduating he landed a decent paying job in the oil industry. He climbed the ranks within in Company and after 5 years he was finally promoted to a position that he thought suited him. His company finally decided to replace a lot of the machinery they have been using for decades and he was in charge of organizing and making sure everything went according to plan.

He was able to roll out the new machine underschedule and with few issues. His superiors were impressed something was finally done on time. While Mel was working on his project his company had expanded into new territory and were looking for experienced engineers to send to Chernarus. He was selected as well as 3 other engineers to travel to Chernarus and stay there until everything was up and running. Mel was told it would take between 6-10 months. Mel having no wife or kids decided to jump at the opportunity.

In November 2016 he finally traveled to Chernarus to start working. Mel began to notice tensions were rising in the country but he knew he was safe since he lived on site at the oil fields away from the public and he could always leave at any moment if he had too. Things started to get worst and Mel didnt feel safe anymore. His company begged him to stay telling him he is overreacting. As a comprimise his company hired a few military contractors to have on site to ease the nerves. That made Mel relieved for a little while. That was until shit hit the fan and martial law was declared in certain regions. That was a clear sign to get the hell out of there but by the time his company secured his and his coworkers flights out of the region it was too late and all planes were ordered to stay landed.
