Bartholomew Deadman was no average joe, he was raised well and went through life hard, he was thrown into the army younger than most join, he went through much training and was the best in boot camp, while deployed he was scarred on many parts of his face and body, but he found a young beautiful woman and decided after much thought and any horrors he was going to leave and marry this woman. After leaving BD began working in that city as hard as he could, taking multiple jobs. After saving enough money BD went on a vacation with his future wife, to Chernarus, they lived life there happy as can be as shop owners. BD one day had a gang show up to his shop one day and they caused trouble, destroyed the place, knocked over food, stole, you name it they did it. BD quickly fought them off and banned them from the store, they swore that they would be back. After a few months BD found his wife to be pregnant, he rushed to the shops in order to prepare for a baby, but after he returned he saw a truly horrible sight, his shop/home was set ablaze by the gang, BD watched as the gang laughed and rode away their leader Sam holding his prized mosin rifle and revolver. BD rushed inside to see his dear wife, dead, the fire department was too late, as was he. BD promised himself and his late wife that he would avenge her and their unborn child, as remembrance BD stops every so often to sit and "talk" with his wife. Soon after the outbreak began, people were sick, dying, and suddenly rising back up and eating their friends and loved ones. BD was already on the move looking for that gang and their leader, the man who started the fire and stole his belongings, Sam. BD only knew his first name, but he remembers the voice, so he set off killings the infected, asking anyone if he has seen this horrid gang. BD received good information about Sam and his gang and travelled far and wide to find this gang. BD was about to give up, he was sick, tired, he felt 80 even though he is 30, but he found it, Nyheim, he was told this is where Sam and his gang are hiding. BD now wanders all of Nyheim in search of his wife's killers and thieves.
