"I was born in a difficult time for our country. Of course, our people are not accustomed to survive in harsh conditions, no matter how sad it may sound. Since childhood, I have had to deal with injustice, sometimes even participate in it, because there was no other choice. Luckily, this taught me how to deal with bastards. Complicated all the fact that I grew up in a rather poor family. My father was an engineer who was fired from the factory, and my mother was a shop assistant. I was lucky that my father did not give up, like some others, and tried to make money at least in some way. It was he who educated in me those traits that are inherent in a good man: honesty, decency and masculinity. Until now, in difficult situations, I remember his parting words. Perhaps I would be bogged down in the cycle of crime and vice, if I had not joined the army. Among the soldiers, we are all equal, especially in battle. So I probably would have lived a further life, I even managed to start a family, but all this idyll was broken by one single task that changed my life forever...
When I went to the army, I went there with the confidence that I would only defend my country. I had a lot of friends from neighboring countries, and sometimes even from quite distant countries with whom I had rather warm relations. When I learned that we were being sent on a mission to another country, I became very alert. I did not have the desire to harm the inhabitants of other countries, no matter how much the leadership would like to. However, everything fell into place when I found out the destination - Chernarus. In our unit for a long time there were rumors about this place. Most of them did not respond to the explanation, and if at first we simply ignored them, then when it became known about the task, I felt uneasy. Mankind has not had to deal with something similar and I was not happy with this prospect. Frankly, this news made me really excited.
We were given some time to stay with the family, but the thought of the upcoming task did not leave me. I thought about my relatives and friends. If the rumors do not lie, then this problem can touch each of them. I didn’t have many allied people, so all of them were dear to me. I do not know what awaits us there, but it is my duty to all people to do everything in my power to prevent a catastrophe. For the sake of my family, country and the whole world."
The detachment of senior sergeant Grachev Vladislav ceased to get in touch some time after the landing at Chernarus. The squad and all its members are missing.
