The peaceful days are behind us, no plans for tomorrow, and we worry if we find food or become food. Jeremy lived in a comfortable suburban neighborhood on the outskirts of Arlington, Virginia and growing up, dreamed of being a soldier. His dad was a Veterinarian and his mother a lawyer, Jeremy had a great upbringing and he knew it. This didn't deter him, but more so drove him to be the kind of person who could be about a better place for those less fortunate than him. The comfortable American lifestyle held him back and at the age of 18, out of high school, Jeremy didn't know what to do with his life. He jumped from job to job looking for some purpose in his life and when the first news of an illness broking out in Chernarus it finally clicked. That childhood dream and the passion deep in his heart came back and he enrolled in the Marine Corps. Months of training and a fiery passion built him like a rock, but one night while working in the officers quarters he overheard a conversation that would stun him. Chernarus was beyond help, the information had been suppressed, lies were made, and the top brass knew nothing was going to save Chernarus. Jeremy's platoon was shipping out the next day to a doomed country pass saving. Before he left the porch of his suburban home his father stopped him and pleaded for his safe return. Knowing full well he was about to enter hell, he grabbed his fathers hand firmly and slipped him a note. He held back the tears and flew to the marine base stationed in Chernogorsk. Just as he was getting comfortable and began to wait for the inevitable, the sirens screamed around the base. It had already begun. Overwhelmed by the number of refugees and hordes of infected, Jeremy was knocked unconscious. Doomed to die, if not for the heroic actions of a medical officer who charged the hordes, took bite after bite and still carried him away from the base. Jeremy awoke to the site of the rising smoke coming from the base, an ALICE pack, and a medical officer with a bullet through his head. It had finally happened and all that was left was to survive and get out this doomed country. He buried that medical officer took his dog tags and set off into the wasteland.
