Xander was born and raised in Sheffield, England, a Northern industrial town with its roots in the mining and steel industry. Although throughout Xander's childhood there the steel industry and mining were mostly at the end of their dominance in the Northern Industry. As available work declined and the population continued to grow the City began to see increase in crime and gang violence along with knife crime increased greatly. This was how he gained his first set of scars and was set straight from the troubled childhood he had ended up living. scared straight by his near death experince at the end of a knife Xander spent months in hospital where he gained a respect for those in the medical profession. This inspired him to apply to the British Army and be given the medical and military training to become a Combat Medic. Xander excelled within his training course and upon completion of his training was quickly sent out into the field working in some of the most dangerous areas at the time. However, when he eventually sustained a bullet wound to the stomach while on a tour in Afghanistan the soldier retired his frontline work and retrained as a nurse. Taking a more background role Xander worked in the military hosapitals of the British army until he was finally offered the opportunity to assist the UN in Chernarus.
Arrival in Chernarus
25 year old Xander arrived with the relief force sent by the UN on the 17th of July 2017 during the outbreak. He had volunteered to go into the thick of it and work in the field with the peacekeepers rather than the other doctors and researches using his military training oncer again alongside his medical in order to attempt to save the Citizens of Chernarus. Reliving his glory days in the mess that was the quickly collapsing Chernarus Xander remembered why he had moved off the front lines, the constant death got to him, the bodies of women and children haunting his dreams to this day. Still he could not let this stop him fighting for those that were still alive. He was good at this and no matter how much it pained him to see so much suffering he would not give up on the people and he still hasn't.
Mission Failure and life after the Fall
In the end the UN mission failed and Xander was left stranded out in the ruined country, seperated from the rest of the UN forces who he now presumes to be dead. Currently he roams the country avoiding the dead and helping the living when he can, hoping there is still a chance for humanity to bounce back while struggling with his cracked mental state. He knows the value of his medical and firearms training and will often bandy them in return for his life when coming across those who may wish him harm or when in dire need of resources. When coming across injured and suffering people he will feel compelled to help and will ask nothing in return fro his services when he does so. He prefers to avoid affiliations with any one group wishing to remain neutral when possible, doing his best to avoid becoming anyones enemy. He will defend himself when all else fails but prefers to avoid killing the few other humans left.
