Sasha was born and raised in Chernogorsk in a low-income neighbour in the satellite suburb of Dubky in an apartment block with his mother and father. His mother worked at the local train station as a conductor and his father worked at the local grainery, his father was a drunk, living in guilt over the death of his friend when they were both on a military exercise together in South Zagoria when they were both doing national service. Sasha lived through the civil war as a child, and fled with his parents to Belozersk where they had family. He enjoyed his time with his relatives on Lake Belozersk since that part of the country was not heavily effected by the war. Returning to Chernogorsk, he was a rather average school student but got caught up in the local gopnik gang in their usual antics, stealing, theft and robbery. Individually though, Sasha was an overall nice guy but enjoyed the company of friends, then later... cigarettes, alcohol and occasional drug use. He managed to score a job at the local fruit shop, selling and offloading fruits and vegetable which kept him out of trouble. He was seemingly trying to distance himself from the usual gang, when unbeholdst, the infection ripped through the country and Chernogorsk, he stayed within the shop with locals and customers, barracading the door from the undead. The cries of the living and dead shocked him, especially after his girlfriend, Anna was torn alive by the undead. Soon, tension with the survivors within the shop started to spark. Sasha did not tolerate people smuggling food out of the shop and exiled those that ate more than the rations allocated. Overtime, he was left with another man named Oleg and a woman named Anatasia, but soon, they left together to leave Sasha in his shop - most likely necause of Sasha's growing tyrannical & cynical approach to people . Not knowing where to go next, he packed up his belongings and began his journey.
