Name: Dustin "Dead Eye" Hammer
Date of Birth: 04/01/1973
Occupation: Private Military Contractor
Dustin Hammer or as his colleagues call him, Dead Eye, was a Private Military Contractor. Born April 1, 1973, Hammer first saw action as a 20 year old US Army Ranger during the Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia. Assigned to Task Force Ranger, which consisted of Rangers and Delta Force, Hammer honed his craft as an elite shooter, thus earning the nickname Dead Eye. His time with the 75th Ranger Regiment brought him to various African and Middle Eastern countries. He earned multiple accolades for valor throughout his tours and when September 11th hit he spent his last tour hunting for Osama Bin Laden during the Battle of Tora Bora. Fighting alongside a unit of 20 CIA and 5th Special Forces Group members code named Jawbreaker, Hammer was severely injured when an RPG landed on his position during a 6 hour firefight. He sustained shrapnel injuries throughout his body and thus his military career came to end. Spending the next several months rehabilitating his injuries he met a nurse at Walter Reed Medical Center. The two quickly became romantically involved and soon after became engaged. Missing the adventure and the adrenaline that he experienced during his time in the 75th Ranger Regiment he got in contact with some former colleagues who had formed a Private Military Contracting company. During this time "The Company" was operating in and around Chernarus during the 2009 civil war where he and his team helped hunt down the Chedaki who were accused of various war crimes. He was sent back alone during the Spring of 2017 to conduct espionage and recon. Hammer was dispatched for a short time to South Zagoria during the civil unrest to help quell the violence, acting as an adviser to the State. Soon after, in July the virus began to spread throughout the country and Hammer was unable to make contact with his handlers thus stranding him in Chernarus. In an adviser role to the CDF he helped setup patrols and checkpoints outside of Severograd where he first witnessed soldiers acting rabid and unresponsive. After the Russian artillery launched an all-out bombardment of the Kamensk, Nagornoe, and Severograd countrysides, Hammer took it upon himself to ensure the local populace was safe. He devised a plan with some local nationals to move any survivors into safer areas in small groups at a time. In the beginning his main goal was to get home to his fiance. After several months, fearing that his fiance did not survive the outbreak he began to want to help others who were not affected by the virus. Due to the amount of years he has spent in combat and witnessing various atrocities against those unable to protect themselves, he has developed a strong dislike for anyone who preys on the weak. While he can be diplomatic trying to settle disputes without violence, due to his mental health deteriorating and inability to seek proper mental health treatment, he can be explosive. After years of being a soldier for hire, his job now is to ensure those around him who are unable to defend themselves from the ravages of the virus and war are kept alive.
