Background

A gaudy, sophisticated guy who appreciates the arts but is a man of science. Frequently talking to himself and reciting Shakespeare and making up phrases in different languages. He'll talk to anyone and is a generally nice guy, and will keep any qualms to himself unless he gets an opportunity to cause an inconvenience to one who wrongs him.

He fairly knows his way around the outdoors and has shot a few guns in his day. He does, however, have a knack for acting irrationally in situations that are high-stress.

Before the apocolypse, Tim was a literature major in college, studying at Wittenberg University in the US. When the plague hit Chernaurus, he was relaxing in his hometown of Solnichniy. He was staying with his brother and sister-in-law because his mom and dad lived in Germany at the time.

Tim was on the dock reading Macbeth at 6am when everyone in the town started getting in their cars and leaving. He walked back to his house at a brisk pace, asking people why they were leaving so abruptly. Everyone was telling him that they were instructed to by the government to immediately evacuate to the nearest train station. He continued walking to his house when he saw his brother and sister-in-law pull up in their Skoda, with a mine worker and a few kids in the back. They claimed to be taking the kids and their father, and that Tim would have to find another ride.

Growing frantic, Tim ran up to the mine, where he waved down a bulldozer driver as he was making his way out of the mine. The driver didn't stop for Tim and even lowered the plow to try to bulldoze Tim out of the way. Tim wouldn't move and tried to ask for a ride, since it was easier than driving a bulldozer down a road than walking. The driver got out of the Bulldozer and was about to forcefully remove Tim from his path, when from the work shed, another worker ran out, vaulted the bulldozer with inhuman strength, and pounced on the worker. Tim attempted to push the feral worker off but it dug it's teeth into the worker's jugular, creating a fountain of blood as he ripped away the flesh. Terrified, Tim screamed and took off in the opposite direction, making it to the main road and almost getting run over by a passing car from the town above. By now, everyone from the town with a car evacuated. From the mining area, he saw more zombies barreling towards the main road, chasing the cars, for they were drawn to noise. Using the passing cars as a distraction, Tim swims out to the island nearby, soaking his clothes in the process. He waits there for some time until the chaos had died down. A day later of watching with genuine panic and dread, most of the zombies have been pulled away from the noise of passing cars. By now, Tim sneaks back to his house, changes clothes, stocks up on food, water, and any weapons he can find, and wonders what to do next.
