She was on a missionary assignment around the world to gain new experiences for her work. Her main focus was assisting the people of Korea and she was there for nearly 2 years. After learning about everything that was going on in Chernarus, she decided that maybe, she could help them just as she was in Korea. She felt it was her duty to attempt to bring up the morals of the people there and to assist in her profession. The next morning, she booked the first flight over with the help of her missionary group and prepared herself. Once she arrived, Katie worked as a traveling nurse with the medical equipment she had on her. She attempted to assist in any way possible to the people there but once the outbreak started, there was nothing she could do. Katie has found herself stuck in her worst fears, a dystopia that she couldn't get out of. Her morale is extremely low and she feels she's alone in the world. The state of her family is unknown because she hasn't heard from them since she's been in Korea. Slowly, Katie changed to someone she doesn't know, and she's not sure if her old self will ever re-appear. Now, the outbreak is everywhere and her only goal is to survive, no matter what it takes.
