Marcus Larsson was a janitor aboard the passenger ship that carried 3,000 passengers, the Costa Risacca, that crashed outside of the shores of South Zagoria. He had taken a break from his studies in Sweden to get some work experience, and landed a job among the service crew of the cruise ship. As the hellish storm ravaged the ship, he was quickly thrown over board and just barely managed to come to consciousness the following morning. As he laid there on the beaches of Chernarus, bleeding and with tattered clothes, he rolled over only to be attacked by a feral humanoid. In a battle driven only by the desire for survival and instinct, Marcus slammed a heavy rock into the head of the humanoid and it fell quietly to the ground. As he inspected the body he realized that this was no human... This was one of the infected. He ripped pieces of cloth from the clothing of the fallen infected and wrapped them around his bleeding leg.
He limped towards the mainland and kept walking until he reached a nearby village and passed out. When he woke up he found himself being tended to by a group of friendly survivors. As he spent a week recovering in their camp he learned more about the outbreak. When he got healthier he immediately offered to help in any way he could as a way of repaying the kind strangers. The group agreed and under the following weeks took Marcus with them on loot runs, searches after fellow survivors and the like.
Things were good, but Marcus felt that he had overstayed his welcome. He reckoned it was time for himself to find some answers about the outbreak and possibly find a way back home. He said his goodbyes and the group gave him some supplies as a parting gift and then Marcus was on his merry way.
Ever since then he has been roaming the lands of Chernarus, looting what he needs and carefully exploring the land. What will the future hold for Marcus, I wonder...
