Sergeant Miller joined the Canadian Military at the age of 23. He was promoted during his time in Afghanistan by his commander for his outstanding acts of bravery and his courage. After returning from Afghanistan, word of the outbreak had reached North America and he was selected to lead a mission to go to Chernarus and figure out how the outbreak started, how to stop the undead, and basically to gather any intel they could. He and 5 others were tasked to parachute down to the shores of Chernarus on the night of the 23rd of July. Unbeknownst to them, a terrible storm was raging this night. They made the decision to do the drop anyway because they knew they didn't have much time until the infection would reach North America. Mid air they lost formation and became separated, all Jackson remembers from the drop is that he lost his gear and his weapons which had been ripped from him by the wind. He couldn't control his parachute when he reached the ground, so he slammed hard into the earth and blacked out. He woke up the next morning with minimal supplies and his squad nowhere to be seen.
