He was born and raised by only his father. His mother had passed, shortly after he was born, to cancer. During his early childhood Nikolai always dreamed of becoming a firefighter like his father. He would be playing outside and starting little campfires and pretend it was a building burning. He would run around in his father’s helmet and garden hose and try to put out the fire. Rejoicing with his family’s dog afterwards.
After his high schooling year’s, he was finally old enough to be able to apply to become what he always dreamed to be. With the years of training and practicing from his father he was able to ace through the academy with flying colors and was assigned to a division outside of Chernogorsk. At first, he was a bit disappointed but grew to truly appreciate his team he worked with. He worked hard for several years and eventually was promoted and was able to transfer to be with his father. This was short lived, however.
After about a year of being back home his father had become rather ill and was forced to retire. Nikolai spent every moment he could with his father and did everything he could to keep his family name a proud one to the division. After a few years his father finally passed to leukemia and it devastated Nikolai. He fell into short, but deep, depression that killed his reputation. This forced him to start from zero again and work his way up. He eventually cleaned his act up with the help of his father’s close friend and quickly proved his worth to his team again.
We jump several years now to the recent events. With the constant attacks happening all over Chernarus, Nikolai was put on a full time ‘On Call’ position. He pretty much lived at the station and would answer to calls all over town. As the infection began to spread to Chernogorsk, he did everything he could to contain the fires and protect the people. While on route to a call he was struck by debris from the plane that collided into the hotel, sending him veering off the road and crashing into a nearby building.
After that it is all a blur to him…He awoke present day at the hospital, dizzy and nauseas. This is where his story begins.
