Quang Lê was born in Thanh Hung, Vietnam. A rural community which most exports were rice and other assorted vegetables he learned to protect livestock and to clean and handle rifles. He went into university for Agricultural Technology and Management, during this time he was also indoctrinated into the communist party. He finished his schooling and started work in the Ministry of Agriculture, he worked with rural communities to increase modernization of farms and boom productivity. In 2016 he was sent to Chernarus on a goodwill mission by the Vietnamese government to help alleviate the food shortages spurred by the 2009 civil war, for about a year he worked with communities to help increase productivity. By the beginning of July, Lê listened for any word from Vietnam but none came, with little to no money he could not afford to go home so he continued his work. But only a week later he figured that going home was completely impossible, airports closed, CDF lines kept being pushed back. Soon he found himself stranded in a foreign country he did not even know the language of, but nonetheless, he had to find a way to survive.
