Jane Marie, born on December 23rd, 1998, is a bit out there. She constantly finds herself tripping over the line that separates reality and fantasy (or failing to realize she's doing so). Hailing from Istanbul and raised by two adoring, yet clueless parents, she failed to realize her 'shortcomings' until she was fully grown. Jane never had any interest in the news, and rather took solace in her disconnect from the rest of the world, similar to her parents. When the outbreak occurred, she was quite possibly the least informed human on the planet. Her household's familial bonds experienced a stress none of them were quite prepared for. Naturally paranoid, and riddled with anxiety, her mother, Valerie, disappeared one night without a word, taking a small amount of food from the family stockpile. As the weeks stretched on, contained in their house like animals in a cage, Jane watched her father, Samuel, become a husk of the man he once was. On a foggy Wednesday morning, Jane startled awake to the terrible sound of a gunshot, freezing her blood and sending shivers up her spine. For the first time she took her life in her own hands, packing a backpack full of what she considered essentials and leaving her home that afternoon, unable to bare the thought of being near her father's lifeless body. By luck, and only luck, did she survive long enough to learn how to prolong that survival. Having never been interested in geography, Jane wandered into Chernarus completely unaware of her exact location, reaching said area with a combination of willy-nilly hitchhiking and her aimless stride. Using her own survival, hand in hand with spontaneous adventure, as an outlet to the swirling chaos of thoughts in her head, Jane continues to put one foot in front of the other, both hoping and dreading the idea of ever coming across her mother again, dead or alive... or both.
