Background

Alexander Jordie was born in Edmonton, Alberta. He is the eldest of two. His younger sister Natasha was born a year later. Shortly after his sister was born the family would move to Fort McMurray in northern Alberta, for his father's job as a low level supervisor in the oil fields. His mother would find a job as a Chemistry teacher at the local high school.

Alexander's childhood was good. He enjoyed school, played sports and had a few close friends. Always the adventurous spirit; he could often be found climbing trees, or wandering the local woodlands with his friends or sister.

Life would change for the family when Alex was eight. The Children would find themselves in the middle of a divorce they didn't understand. His mother Janette would live in the family house and his father would move forty five minutes outside of town. Alexander and his sister would be left living with their mother, who didn't seem to have much time for them. Alexander would always fight with his mother and their relationship was bad. Their father Kirk may have lived far away, but Alexander had fond memories of the two weekends a month they spent with him. Life continued like this for three years, but when Alex was eleven the family house would be sold and his father found a home in town. when Alexander was twelve he would decide to live with his father full-time and his sister would follow a few years later. Life was better now.

High School was a hard time for Alexander, he found himself partying a lot and by the age of sixteen he had dropped out of school. His parents thought if he joined the army maybe he would learn some discipline, get control of his own life. He followed their instructions and applied. After he finished his basic training he was on route to be trained as a mechanic but was kicked out after losing his temper with an instructor. He returned home, angry and without any direction. Life seemed like it couldn't get any worse but as luck would have it in 2016 a forest fire would blow through the community. His family was alright and their houses had survived but the community had been destroyed for the most part. Alexander wanted to leave, nothing seemed to be working out for him anymore. He had some money saved away; inheritance from his maternal grandfather.

Alexander didn't know his Grandfather, he had been a successful businessman in Novodmitrovsk running a small factory. He had sent Alexander's mother to University in Alberta, but when she decided to stay to Marry Alex's father their relationship had been soured and she never went back home. Alexander had learned this from his father after the divorce. His mother had never spoken of her childhood, and Alex was fascinated by this mysterious country Chernarus. He had tried to ask his mother about Chernarus, all she had told him was that it was a wild place and that it wouldn't be long before the stubborn inhabitants were at each others throats again. Alex found himself overwhelmed by the prospect of adventure, an adventure in Chernarus!

Alex's inheritance was significant, enough to live in the relatively poor province of South Zagoria for years. He put his plan in action. He applied for a Visa, and bought his plane tickets. In September of 2016 he landed in Novigrad and hired a car to drive him to Chernogorsk. After a month he had settled into his new life. He bought a car; a white Lada Riva and bribed the driving licence officials. Rented a furnished apartment above a pub in Chernogorsk. Had developed a reputation in the pub downstairs as the "Roguish American" which he found amusing and didn't feel the need to correct the locals.
Alex partied a lot, drank a lot and had never been happier. He was free and living in an adventure!
