My character is a young and naive member of society, going by the name of Yuri Litvinov, who has been isolated from the civilian lifestyle in the former Soviet republic. Born into the Vladivostok region, where his mother a doctor, and his father and Civil servant had lived their whole lives. His family was affluent, and hence all the children received a good education. The family had benefitted greatly due to the favor shown by the Brezhnev administration. His father consequently held a highly valued position in the Ministry for External Relations. However, the Socialist republic soon came crumbling down as a result of Michail Gorbachev. Yuri who was an 18 year old at the time, had his world turned upside down. His father was defenestrated due to his Staunch Stalinist approach to politics. His mother suffered from mental health issues after her husband's death and soon found her way into an asylum. As a result young Yuri was alone, He spent a number of years flaunting around with the serious issues of life, spending his family's fortune which had landed in his hands. When he got bored with all his debauchery, he decided to do something with his life and enlisted in the armed forces.
He enlisted as a cadet at the Khabarovsk Military Commanders Training Academy, however, was unable to complete the course before the outbreak. While at the academy he performed well with a talent for battlefield tactics, and fitness, frequently coming top of his class in these areas while struggling with others. However, his time developing into a rounded young man was cut short as a result of a worldwide pandemic.
Initially part of the emergency response forces scrambled at the offset of the apocalypse, he became disillusioned with the army and deserted. With no connections in this region of the world, he struck out alone with the goal of helping people and putting all his previous studying into practice trying to maintain peace where possible. His main goal is to prove to himself that the leadership and combat skills he spent so much time training to achieve can make a positive impact on those struggling to survive in Chernarus.
