Background

My characters Name is Drey Simons. I was a paramedic in electro before the outbreak. I lived with my wife and child on the northern outskirts of town. My wife being from russia, we often traveled there and were away when the outbreak occurred. I volunteered to return to electro to help out in the civilian camps that were growing by the day, not fully understanding the severity of what was happening. My only though was that my hometown needed me. Upon returning i was overwhelmed. The amount of injuries and the stress of the place quickly drew me to the brink of exhaustion. As aid and supplies started to fail, and we learned of further spread of infection, the hopelessness began to set in. I Questioned my beliefs, the reasons i had returned, the sanctity of my goal to help when my family was the only thing i wanted now. Late one night i left, thinking i could get to balota, steal a boat, or at least a car and make it back to russia, to find my family. It was a failed plan from the start. Shot at by the airfeild by terrified soldiers, and chased west as fast as i could run. WHen i came to the final checkpoint, it was overrun with refugess trying to leave. I gave in, i stuck to the forest, i SURVIVED. Now, as time goes on, i have become bitter, but the quest to help still remains even as a search for my family. A small and fruitless trip into russian territories a month after the outbreak led to me beleiveing that my family has possibly come to look for me also as it spread. A note was found saying, "we are there" in my wifes handwriting, i keep it with me everywhere i go to remind me that, even so slightly, there still is hope, so i returned. I decided i would help all i came, talk to any i saw, and never quit the search for my family. Useing my skills as a medic to make friends and put people at ease to find out if they had seen or could help me find my family. It was the only thing i had left. As the months progressed, and friends were made, the mission to find them never stopped being the goal, but it took a back seat as more and more, i looked into the despairing eyes of those i help to heal and survive, and every day, i think to myself, "If i can give them hope, then i have hope for myself, someone out there will give me hope." and so, i continue to look, and hope, and heal

Lmao, don't be mean Elmo.

Hello @BlueSparc perhaps choose a character photo that is you know ... of a human? That you think your character looks like? 😄 It's easier to picture how he looks when you have a RL counterpart.
