Braxton McCarthy was born on the 17th of September 1993. Braxton's mother died in childbirth and his father died of natural causes when he was 12 years old.
Braxton was forced to go into childcare after his father died, the death of his parents negatively affected his mental health. His anxiety and depression worsened after the years, eventually, he began to hear voices in his head telling him to harm the other children in the foster home, each day he'd pick a new target and physically/mentally break them. Braxton was charged with Grievous Bodily Harm but was found not guilty by reason of insanity and was instead taken to a ward for damaged and criminally unstable children. Instead of being raised by his foster parents he was raised by the state. After six years of taming his mental condition with various medicines and therapy, he was finally under control and found an interest in Biology. At the age of 18, Braxton was told he would be let back into society as long as he kept taking his medication and attend weekly therapy sessions.
Once released, Braxton followed his passion for Biology and signed up for a university. After quite some time of studying Biology in the ward, Braxton passed the exam with little to no issue. Eventually, Braxton entered his Master's Degree in Mycology - the study of fungi.
Braxton began to make friends whilst in university, not a lot but a select few. The small group of friends would occasionally hang out in the university library studying for the upcoming exams and searching parts of the library for books where no one seems to check. They stumbled upon a dusty book at the very back of the library, the book was only partially translated, the group couldn't make sense of it. The group became oddly fond of this book.
Together the group studied the book, with late nights spent searching the internet and the library they found nothing except for one lead, a man in Chenarus who had important information. Abandoning their studies the group took off in search for the man.
Braxton forgot to bring his medication and slowly found himself slipping back into an unstable state. Can his friends keep him at bay?
