Aleksandr Myshkov had a childhood full of trouble. Mom a hooker – she would always take customers home and often Aleksandr would catch them but she didn’t care. Furthermore, she was an alcoholic and a drug addict – sometimes Aleksandr had nothing to eat because all the money was spent on alcohol and drugs, and when ** complained, he was beaten or abused in some way, so at some point he learnt not to complain.
Seeing how there was little to no work in the small town, Aleksandr, after finishing high school, decided to move to Riga, the capital city, where he joined the army. In 2012 Aleksandr was deployed to Afghanistan for 12 months. After returning, Aleksandr left the military to pursue a university degree as he had saved up enough money to afford it and knew that the military life won’t last forever.
Aleksandr chose to study Finance and Economics at University of Latvia. While studying, Aleksandr would work part-time in Old Riga as a bartender. In the fourth year of the university course, a dissertation had to be written by the students, giving an overview of an emerging economy of a selected country – Aleksandr chose Chernarus.
Originally it was supposed to be two-week trip, however, it was extended to a month, but Aleksandr never returned to Latvia. The infection took over three weeks after Aleksandr arrived in Novigrad.
