Since childhood, Peter was very close with his younger sister, Sarah, and with only two years apart they were practically the same age. That made it very easy for them to spend time together, even when growing up.
They would always have eachothers' backs when they got into trouble, especially Peter when he took on the guardian role to protect his little sister, which made them pretty much inseperable. Peter would always think that Sarah was his closest friend he ever had, and Sarah likewise.
At a young age they would always come up with shinanigans, just to see the looks on people's faces. Sometimes pulling pranks on strangers in the street outside their house, sometimes the neighbor who was working on his garden, or if no other people were around, their parents.
When they came of age they began to feel restless to explore, and would go on long distance travels to all sorts of corners of the world.
On one travel though, their latest in fact, traveling through Russia on their way to Asia, Peter and his sister were held up in their journey in the Russian countryside just at the peak of the Outbreak.
People getting sick quickly led to a disruption of commute services such as trains and buses and they were stranded in the rough countryside, leaving them with only one option, to travel by foot.
Months went by of endless walking, picking any scraps they could find, scavenging through abandoned houses, hunting the occasional wildlife with the little they had, just so they would get enough food to make it through the day.
After the chaos quietly settled in the cities they finally had a chance to look for other means of traveling, perhaps getting hold of a car or some other vehicle.
But looks can be deceiving, quiet as it seemed, the cities were more dangerous than one would expect. One night when the two were scavenging for supplies in the outskirts of a major city, they were ambushed and jumped by a group of other scavengers. Scavengers, bandits, highwaymen, call it what may be, but they were looking for value in their belongings, that's for sure.
The situation got heated and after some moments of tough batteling they came to a defeat. The bandits held Peter and his sister at gunpoint to get the upper hand of the situation, and made the drastic decision of taking Peter's sister as a hostage for leverage to get out of the situation alive. The group of bandits made their escape with haste, with the sister tightly locked in a grip by the bandit in the front, others behind him kept their aim at Peter to hold him in place.
They got into a nearby car that was parked around a corner and got away, and Peter could hear the echo of the engine between the houses, slowly fading into silence.
2 months has now passed since Peter last saw his sister, and he has kept walking the countryside, following any trace he could come across. He will do anything to find his sister again, and set her free.
