Officer Ruzicka is a twenty-two year old cop from an upper class family in Miroslavl. He had a falling out with his father over his refusal to join the family business, a sardine and tuna canning plant. He was more or less kicked out from his large family, and in this isolation found what he really wanted to do and be. On his 18th birthday he joined the Miroslavl Police Department as a street cop.
As he saved money he rented an upscale apartment in the Kratka District, moving out of the slum Soviet block he had crashed in for months since his family kicked him out. The type of folks who lived around him changed drastically, and he was exposed to socialites, tech gurus, and other well-to-do citizens. He met his girlfriend, Ludmila there as they lived next door from one another. As their relationship developed they eventually moved in with one another to save money, and he began to assist her in his off-time with her small business.
Kajetán enjoys writing in his spare time, and helped moderate an online community that was working on a video game project before the Outbreak. Aside from his novel he enjoys hanging out with Ludmila's family who are far more accepting than his own, and going to Novigrad for seminars with his girlfriend. He is regarded among his fellow officers as a good cop with an uncanny talent for deescalation, despite his generally poor aptitude for leadership or motivation.
Kajetán helped lead his neighborhood watch program when the Outbreak struck, keeping curfew with other officers and making sure that their area was secure from looters and infected before the military presence escalated.
