Antonio Zevala is a construction worker from the USA, specifically Texas. He was hired as a contractor to build apartments in eastern Europe. While there, he met his wife Emma who was from Estonia. Antonio and Emma enjoyed a pleasant early marriage and soon Emma bore a son, Davis. Antonio found himself working more and more, always trying to provide for his family. Unfortunately, his work forced him to travel around the country, working for his employers building various mass residential complexes, such as apartment buildings and condos. This work took Antonio away too often and for too long. Eventually Emma was wooed by another man and she began having an affair.

Antonio turned to drinking and basically gave up on life a little.

When the outbreak happened, Antonio was drinking heavily, every day. He was in jeopardy of losing his job and was struggling to make it through the days. Emma had taken their son, Davis, back to her homeland. Unfortunately, they were sidetracked to the Nyheim area.

Being a bit of a survivalist, Antonio had built a bunker under his home well before the outbreak happened. When it did, Antonio retreated to the bunker and assumed all was lost. Antonio was in a pit of despair and drinking himself to death, when suddenly his cell phone indicated a message from his son, Davis. All that Davis said was 'Daddy, I'm scared'. Antonio attempted to message back, but his phone died almost immediately after, leaving Antonio unknowing where exactly his son was, nor if he was alive or not. Beset with new purpose, Antonio made his way to Nyheim and thus begins his search for his son, Davis.
