Working for the Chernarus Military, Hilgomir was always a lone wolf, engaging on sniper missions or working separately from his unit. Often he found himself in disagreements with his commanding officer on his execution of these orders; the mantra of the ends justify the means. He had no issues following orders, however, to the extent of none of his fellow soldiers being put into danger, due to his own actions. One time, however, in circumstances that could not be seen to him, his entire unit was wiped out. Him being the lone survivor of the attack during the mission, he managed to survive through the wilderness of Chernarus to arrive in Novigrad, being put off leave for a few weeks. Until requested to be part of the unit escorting some cargo towards the Russian border north of Berezhino. The commanding officer did request for him to, however, if noticing something odd, ensure the cargo would arrive in its destination, no matter the cost.
A Lone Wolf. Yet, somehow something went wrong up in Chernarus after being part of the military united assigned to deliver an unexplained package on board the cargo ship, off the coast of Berezhino. A fight broke out between him and the unit which was escorting the cargo, however, the unit acted differently, using their teeth and hands as opposed to their guns. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the ship crashed, most of the unit was killed but the wolf survived. For a few weeks before the zombie infection begun, he found himself in Troitskoe where a minor military segment was working on a new bio-weapon.
Something went wrong however, and after an explosion he found himself on the coast of Chernarus. After this situation his focus was on finding other survivors, but coming by mostly bandits he learned to best avoid others, survive in the forests and hunt for whatever he needed, scavenging military bases in hopes of more ammo and supplies to aid him in his mission. Which is to survive and see if he can find an answer to what begun the breakout, and to recover his memories from the previous weeks at Troitskoe.
