Background

Friedrich Silverstein was born on June 2000 in Eastern Germany alongside with his twin sister Ella. Their mother commited suicide five years after giving birth to the twins, and so the two children grow up with their single dad.

It was no easy childhood. Their father Samuel had always been an alcoholic, but with the death of his wife it worsened, and so did his aggression towards the children. Especially Friedrich became a regular victim of Samuel's tantrums, and when the boy did not manage to run outside in time, his father would beat the living daylights out of him. After years of abuse the most loving attempts of colsolation from his twin sister could not ease the mental and physical pain anymore that Friedrich experienced through his father.

But the most painful and violent act in the children's memories occoured when they were seven years old. Their dead drunk father, unable to catch his son, vented his anger on the family dog and beat him to death. Gladly would Friedrich have endured the beating, had he known he might have saved the life of his beloved pet. But it was too late and when Samuel had calmed down, all the children could do was bury their dead dog in the woods.

While alcohol had ruined the twins' lives for the most part, it finally released them from their dad. One day, when they had just turned 13, they returned from school and found their dead father in a puddle of his own vomit.
Half a year later they got taken in by a family in Chernarus. They never learned why the authorities had taken them away from their familiar environment and brought them into a strange country, but they agreed that things could only get better, now that they didn't have to live with their dad anymore. Little did they know that this new life would not last long and that their foster family would soon be roaming the streets as the living dead.
