Eric was a paramedic who worked with a company that facilitated healthcare to places who were lacking in the field. Eric was sent to Chernarus, Chernogorsk, during the declaration of Martial Law, due to the potential of another civil war. Eric was placed in a clinic, doing menial tasks, blood pressure checks, shots for common illnesses, etc. When the tensions of the Kamensk and Nagornoe incident began to rise, Eric returned to his companies facility, preparing for the potential war. When the war broke, Eric and a few other paramedics were placed on standby while the company looked for CDF squads requiring extra medical assistance. Soon they began getting word that there were strange attacks on civilians from military personnel, but not with weapons. Eric and his fellow paramedics were sent to Elektro to stage with the police. As more and more word of strange attacks were occurring, Eric and and his colleagues were anxious to hear more of what is happening, but mainly, anxious to hear when they can leave the country. As days passed, and the infection continued to spread, Eric concluded that a big city would be the worst place to be in such an outbreak, and abandoned his job in Elektro, fleeing to the country side. Thinking of how he can avoid a major populace to ensure his safety, Eric decided that he will find his own way out of the country. Eric found refuse with a farmer and his family and learned that these few people were off-grid in their household. Completely independent from electricity. Eric found it valuable to stay with a family that was so self reliant, he felt he could give medical assistance and help with farm chores that the old farmer struggled with. Months pass as Eric continued to stay with the locals, he had finally decided it was time to leave and find a way out of country, completely unaware that the rest of the world is just as bad as Chernarus. While traveling, Eric had learned from a few other survivors on the condition of the rest of the world. Eric sighed, and decided that Chernarus is now his home, and continues to survive.
