Laurie was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA on June 18th, 1994. Laurie comes from a humble family, and was always interested in her studies no matter the subject. Laurie took a liking to biology and health during her highschool years, and decided she would become a heart surgeon. Attending a university in her twenties, Laurie was offered an option to study in several other countries in order to broaden her knowledge in the medical field. Her first stop? Chernarus. Laurie said her goodbyes and packed her bags, headed to a place where devastation and nightmares would soon come alive. She left around May of 2017, about two months before the outbreak. Laurie took a liking to Chernarus for the time she was there, she took a liking to the culture of different countries, and found the people generous and welcoming. However, in June of 2017, Laurie would become abandoned in a place that was not home, a place she did not know, and a place she would soon hate. When the outbreak first began, Laurie barricaded herself into her room, while documenting what she saw and heard out her window.
Laurie understood she could not sustain herself with the little supplies she had, and would have to face whatever darkness had overtaken Chernarus. She had not heard from her peers, her friends, or her family. She had not seen any humans for about two weeks, until she decided to open that door that led to the cold and dark world. Laurie reached for her kitchen knife and slung her backpack over her shoulders, and cautiously opened that door... the one that would lead her into a new reality.
