Yuri Izanov was born in the city of Primorsk, far west from South Zagoria. He was an accidental child, birthed from a drunk and an angel. This would lead him into a traumatizing childhood, one full of abuse and mental strain. Yuri's father was born within Ukraine, moving to Chernarus much later in life to look for the opportunity of ludicrous work under the Soviet Union. At the fall of the USSR, 1991, Yuri's father barely worked enough to support his family, instead choosing to ignore his responsibilities for cheap drinks and whores, while his mother did the best she could to care for her son. Every night, it seemed as if Yuri's father made it a point to get at least one good whack on Yuri, to keep him in line. Yuri despised his father and found comfort with his mother.

-Yuri's Mother

Yuri's mother was a beautiful woman, one with brevity and strength. She nearly raised Yuri single handily while his father was out "working" for his country in the factories. She was born within Chernarus, within a small village dotting the outskirts of Primorsk. Yuri never truly learned how his mother and father met, his father's work being discussed within whispers from Yuri's ears.

The unrest within Chernarus eventually spiraled into a full blown conflict when a communist group, known as the Chedaki, began committing acts of terror and engaging government forces. The Civil War kicked off in late 2009, with Yuri finding himself in the ranks of a organized nationalist group known as NAPA. The nationalist guerillas of the National Party were a underground movement lacking sophisticated weapons, but their knowledge of the country, military expertise from Chernarussian soldiers  and a underground network of informants and smugglers made them a serious threat against foreign soldiers and the communist Chedaki. Yuri served in a western network of NAPA comprised mainly of AWOL CDF soldiers, angry farmers and criminals turned anti-heroes.

As the conflict expanded, and foreign powers became involved with the fighting, so did the operations that Yuri carried out with NAPA. The Chedaki were ruthless enemies, raping and killing hundreds of Chernarussians. Yuri and his group operated just as ruthlessly, showing no mercy towards anyone that associated themselves as a Chedaki soldier. It didn't take long before Yuri became a trusted gun among his brothers, someone that they could rely on. After the Civil War came to an end, Yuri went east into South Zagoria. He saw no reason to head back west to Primorsk and wanted to help continue wrapping up loose ends of the Chedaki filth.

Years later, long after the aftermath of the Chernarussian Civil War, the country once again fell into a state of chaos. Leading a regular life, Yuri found himself caught in hell itself as an unknown plague began ravaging his land, infected individuals pouring out of South Zagoria and heading west to spread their disease. Yuri was in Miroslavl at the time of the outbreak, and took up arms as a volunteer fighter to assist CDF forces holding the attacks at bay. Yuri already had plenty of experience killing Communist and Foreign scum, but the infected posed a much greater threat. Not only do they feel no pain, but Yuri felt extreme grief as he would cut down dozens of his own infected people. Miroslavl was put under heavy CDF occupation as the government scrambled to protect it's cities and evacuate key personnel.

Yuri viewed the actions of the CDF as cowardice. More worried about their own key assets rather than focusing on the people suffering from their actions. Of course, months into the outbreak, a terrorist group conducted a chemical attack on Miroslavl, and Yuri had front row seats to watch as his people were murdered. Fueled by anger and grief, Yuri became acquainted with a man known as Mikhail Barta, and vowed his life to join Barta's ragtag group of fighters. Kameníci was their name, a ultra-nationalist group that vowed to get revenge on the people responsible for the Miroslavl bombing and to make Chernarus great again. Since then, Yuri has been fighting side by side with his new found brothers.

Yuri's life is now composed of three day to day duties within Kameníci. They must patrol the Takistani border, remove any Russian scum from their lands and keep the homeland clean from invaders. Yuri's life has rarely faltered from these duties since vowing his life to Barta and his men. Patrolling South Zagoria proved to be one of the biggest tasks the group would ever take up, being a lawless land full of banditry and foreign psychos. Yuri and his group clashed with many new rising power houses, from Russian SF to bandit slave traders.
