Jackson Ames grew up to a loving middle class family with a good education. He found and worked a job fairly early and enjoyed the life he had, becoming fairly independent at an early age. However as Jackson went through life, he found his current way of living to be dissatisfying, that living the American way was good but he craved something more then a nine-to-five job could offer. His search went on and eventually led him to joining the military. His time in the military tought him a great deal about both himself and the world, but once his initial enlistment had ended, he decided he wished to continue to serve his country but without the constraints put upon him in the military itself. He would find himself on his own once more though with the training that only few jobs desired. He considered a number of them, from becoming a police officer to simply joining another branch of the military, but none sat right with Jackson. Eventually he stumbled on a number of groups that offered what he was seeking without the rules of the military, private security firms. After a bit of research, Jackson sent in an application to Raven Shield Security and a few months later, found himself preforming a number of simple close protection duties on VIP individuals or smaller aid groups all over the world.
Though as the world started to grow ever more hostile, work for Jackson and the company he worked for grew increasingly more profitable, not only in cold hard cash but in items as well. Their most recent job had them moving a team to secure a VIP in Chernarus in exchange for one of the clients secure bunkers for the corporations family to reside in as the world slowly began to tear itself apart. The team moved immediately and fulfilled their end of the bargain, though a number of days later their client was found dead of self inflicted wounds. Without the contract to bind them, Jackson and the team moved back to the secured bunker and met up with the rest of the group. For a long time they remained, traveling outside the bunker only if it was required, hoping to wait out the storm. But as weeks turned to months, they knew they did not have the supplies to stay forever. Teams were sent out into the wasteland to secure supplies for the bunker, heading ever East to scavenge what they could.
