OccupationOperation Pharaoh Team Leader USMC
Background
Operation Pharaoh was simple, we had to infil into Nyheim as a small 3 man team and exfil the VIP. We were never told who we were extracting or why we even needed to have such a small fireteam. Little did we know it was to cut the losses when we found out this mission was suicide from the start. We never found the VIP, well alive anyway. We believe he was killed but the remains were burned with the safehouse they were hold up in. So much for safe, can thank Marine command for that one, anyway we then decided to bug out back to the USS Wasp and call the OP a failure. When we tried to communicate with the ship we found out that the ship we were told was supporting us was never in the water. Our comms with command were gone, the area was a deadzone. The three of us packed up what we could and searched for some communication, we ended up finding a city and could hear gunfire from inside. When we went to investigate we ran across two people who looked injured. Jackson our 68W went to help, he was too nice for his own good, then the woman grabbed him and bit a chunk out of his neck and ran at us. We had to put her down and the man with her started eat Jackson so we had to shoot him as well. Willis and I couldn't save Jackie man he was gone. The both of us had to move. We got into town and found a electronic store, when we were searching for a phone or radio or just anything there was a crash at the front. A group of men broke in and they were heavily armed. Willis started exchanging gunfire with the men as I found a way out as we were already low on ammunition. The back door was clear to leave but when I turned around and yelled for him he got distracted and took a round to the face. It was my fault you can't convince me otherwise, he'd still be here if I just didn't yell for him. Anyway I fled the city dumping most of my gear because it was starting to slow me down and the men were on the chase. Eventually I just wandered through the woods thinking about why the Corps would do this and if anyone was even coming, turns out there was someone coming. I lost all hope but now I'm no longer alone. Lets get out of here man before things get worse here.
