Riza had always been an adventurous woman who enjoyed a challege. 
A prison guard since the age of 18, she had spent some time in different parts of the establishment, hoping to learn as much as possible. 
She had enjoyed working alongside the prison's paramedics, training in first aid and taking an interest in assisting injured inmates as well as her fellow guards. 
Eventually she rose high enough to become the prison's warden, taking on running the facility and ensuring it was as smooth as possible.

She flew out to Europe to visit her fiancee Joe, who was contracted to build and repair the skyscrapers in the city.
Her plan was to drive up from Sweden, hoping to explore the country on her way to visit him. However, her trip was ground to a halt as the infection began to spread.
She began to move north, driving her rental car up into Norway and towards Nyheim in the hopes of finding her fiancee. 

Once she arrived, she attempted to help those in need by offering basic medical aid.
